He received his Bachelor of Science degree with distinction and securing highest marks to the entire college in 1996 ; Master degree with First Rank in Physics in 1998 and awarded Gold Medal ; Master of Philosophy in Physics by securing highest to the department in 1999 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2006 from Gulbarga University, Gulbarga. He has published over 35 papers. Under his guidance 2 students were awarded for Ph.D degree in VTU. and 4 students are pursuing for Ph.D. degree.
